Has anyone experienced a sex headache?

For the first time in my life, I experienced one of the most severe headaches I have ever felt. Right after orgasm, I felt a sharp, throbbing pain on the back of my head and neck. It was very intense (as well as the sex). Has anyone had this happen? I don't want these headaches to be a problem.

Were you using viagara? I bet you weren't, because if you were you probably would have mentioned it, but I just thought I'd throw that out there. Viagara is known to have the side effect of headache sometimes.

Now that that's out of the way, if the sex is strenuous, it's not unusual for you or anyone else to have a headache afterwards. Think of all the positions you torque your body into, the tightening of the muscles, especially in the upper body, and the exaggerated movements you put your body through, without of course considering the alignment of your spine or anything like that. Anytime you do something like that, it's possible to get a headache.

Plus, if you were sweating a lot, you might have gotten dehydrated, AND, the chemicals released into your brain when you have an orgasm could very well flood your endocrine system. That could cause headache too.

I would just pop a couple of asprin before you get it on, if you have the presence of mind to do so, and make sure you're well-hydrated. That might help.

there might actually be something wrong with your nerves, if it happens again go see a doctor
