I.e., if I prove you are alive, I have proven that you once did not exist.... Did I just not prove a negative? (Namely that you did not exist one year before your birth)....

Anyone who believes in reincarnation disagrees with you, for a start.

Actually, you are correct. If did not exist in 1965, as I was born on 1975. So, you can now logically say that in 1965, I did not exist.

But, concerning your attempt to make atheist statement's along the lines of "you cannot prove something doesn't exist", you missed on key thing.

There is physical and verifiable evidence of my existance at this time. I can furnish you proof that at 3:14 am, on the date of my birth, I came into existance. I have witnesses, a birth certificate, etc. So, by using the positive(proof of my existance), you can prove the negative(proof of my non-existance before my birthdate).

Since you do not have any of this proof to show the existance of your god, there can be no way of proving his non-existance.

Nice try though.

No, you've only proved I'm alive. I don't look at non-existence as a negative as it is another state of existence, like life. Therefore, it isn't a negative. And you cannot prove a negative anyway.

Just because you've proven I exist, how do you know I didn't always exist? Can you prove that?

No one existed one year before their birth but that hardly proves a negative. In essense we all did exist before we were born, just not in the same form. We existed in 1/2 of the DNA from our fathers sperm and 1/2 of the DNA in our mothers egg. It is the old energy can not be created or destroyed but can change forms.

Just because I exist today, does not prove I didn't exist yesterday.

Because I exist today, does not prove I didn't exist when I was a day old. (even though I have no personal knowledge of this time)

Because I exist now does not prove I did not exist before I was born.

Even though I personally do not believe I did.

You cannot prove a negative.

No, the fact that I'm alive does not prove that I had a previous existence. You really could use a quick course in logic.

This is such a lie! I did exist, I remember clearly!

I was a moose in Montana. I heard the shot and yelled" I've been capped!"
That's the last thing I remember before that hospital and some Dr. slappin' my behind.

Isn't the fact that Jesus is dead proof that he no longer exists?

Hey, wow! This "proving a negative" thing is pretty cool!

Well, actually, I see no reason why I couldn't have existed before being born into this body, even without a god, and you present no evidence to refute that possibility.

So you prove nothing.

Yes, so what are you aiming at, genius? People are non-existant most of the time. You will be dead for a longer time than you will live.

Technically not, since you can't prove I haven't been alive forever. You can only assume that.
