a laser is emited onto your skin/hair, the hair absorbs the laser and it kills the follicule. You will need multiple treatments as it does not work in one treatment. I have had about 7 or 8 on my face. And still need probably one or two more.

It feels like when somebody snaps a rubber band on your wrist. To me it is less painful than waxing. You can also use numbing creams that your doctor can perscribe you however, if you have sensistive skin you can have bad reactions. I got 3rd degree burns with it and no longer use it.

Ideal candidate has rather light skin and dark hair. it is not for peach fuzz type hair. The laser is absorbed by highly pigmented hair. However, if you have dark skin, it can cause discoloration, so be very careful. My doctor advises me not to get a tan before treatment.
