Boil them until soft, about 30 minutes. Then take a food grinder or smash them.

You'll need a pressure cooker for best results. T
his what I use do for my kids. Ingredients: 1 cup of Chicken broth. 3 freshly raw peeled carrots diced into 1 inch and 1 peeled sweet potato chopped into cubes.
You place all the ingredients in the pressure cooker and cook on medium to low flame on a stove top for approx 1 hour to 45 minutes.
FYI: DO NOT open the pressure cooker immediately or you'll be wearing the food. Place the pressure cooker under cold water for about 10-15 minutes. Then open the lid.
Once the carrots and the sweet potato's are cook drain the veggies and mash with a little butter and a dash of baby formula. Your infant will love it. You can do this with broccoli and cauliflower too. can also put bits of liquefied chicken once chop it up in a blender or food processor.

Presuming that you have bought precooked carrots, I would suggest taking them out of the glass jar and put them into a smaller sized metal bowl. With a small or medium sized sauce pot, boil water and place the other bowl either over or in the pot using it as a double boiler. This will heat the carrots gently, and evenly so long as you stir them on occassion. It's an extra step, but quite simple and prevents them from scorching on the bottom of the pan. Hope this helps some.

you do not want to boil anything ever. You lose all of the nutrition value when you boil you want to steam your veggies. Once they have been staemaed put them in a food processor with a bit of water and then moosh them up. You can hold in your fridge for about 3 days after that get rid of them. Remember to make your own applesauce also. Why have all of that crap in a glass jar and feed it to your kid. Natural and cooked by you is better than anything you can buy!!!

My pediatrician told me not to give my babies carrots until one year of age, due to the nitrate content. However, after doing a little research online, I've discovered that to be outdated and inaccurate advice. The recommendation is now between 7 and 8 months of age. So I would wait a little bit longer if I were you before giving my baby carrots, just to be safe from "Blue Baby Syndrome" (see articile below). It's a small risk, but one I wouldn't want to take.
There's also a link below about how to prepare them.

Boil them until really soft. Mash them up with a fork or food processor. If your 6 month old has teeth then the mashing with a fork should do. My kids had a few teeth by then, so it was easy for them to eat. But if not food processor for 2 minuets!
GOOOD LUCK! Hope this helped!

steam them or boil until tender and then put them in a blender or food processor until smooth. You can also do this with sweet potatoes and a host of other veggies.
