I've been talking to this guy named Matt since like June. In January, he asked me out and I accepted. The night before our planned date, he called and told me that He had met someone else and cancelled our date.
Well, He's been texting again. He wants to get together sometime, but I'm just not sure if I should give him another chance or not.
He said that he'd call me on Thursday night at 9 and didn't...he apologized (in a text) and said that he'd call at 10:30 and didn't. Well, my friend took my phone and sent him a text telling him that he's pathetic for messing with me if he's not going to do what he says he will. He called 3 times Friday but never left a voice mail.
Last night he called and we talked for a while...then he called again this afternoon. He wants to hang out tonight. He said he's even willing to cancel basketball with his friends and drive for an hour to come see me at college.
Do you think he deserves another chance? Should I go ahead and start dating him?

I know he says he'll do something and then doesn't, but he usually makes up for it later.

Hey why not, I mean people make mistakes and forget things. Also, things come up unexpectedly all the time.

he sounds pretty unreliable....but it also seems like he's trying. Give him a chance....
