I'm studying to become a Civil Engineer and I want to know which minor would be more beneficial: a minor in Material Science or in Management?

Any advice and personal experiences on the matter would be helpful.

Engineers start at a good salary, but top out quickly. Eventually you are going to want a masters, or even a PHD, in business, or a business related field, to further your career. I would suggest you start the business management now and pick it up again in 4-5 years. Your employer is more apt to let you work with clients and contracts instead of sticking you at a design program.

If you want to be a better engineer, go for Material Science. If you're looking for a better payout or upper management positions go with the Management.
