I dont know your entire situation and Im sure it is hard.
But someday you will have a son. If you get real sick how would you feel if he wanted you gone? Right now things are harder on your father than on you. If you really want to grow up, start by showing compassion instead of childish selfishness.

Think about it.

If your dad is in need of care because of a stroke, there should be home health care nurses or PCA's that can care for him in the privacy of his own home. He cannot live with you- he should find his own place. Now if the role is reversed and you are still living there then you should move out.

You sound old enough to be on your own. While you love your father, there really is nothing you can do if you burn yourself out. There are assisted living places he can live or get the help from somewhere else.

good luck with that!

If you can't do it, you can't do it. You've hit your limit, fair's fair.
