I go to the gym 5-6 days a week and normally average around 8 miles on the exercise bike per day in a 30 minute period. I also use the ab machine for about 75 crunches and work out my arms as well. I have changed my diet, no fast food, no soda unless diet, and plenty of fresh fruit. If I keep up this routine for 3 months, how much weight should I lose? I hope to lose maybe 30-40 pounds if possible?

I have no idea how much weight you can lose, but if you are not changing up your routine you will hit a plateau. If you want to boost your metabolism try eating 5 to 6 small meals a day. Each meal try to eat a bit of protein and a green or green leafy vegetable. Eating that many small meals will cause your body to burn more calories and will accelerate your weight loss.

It will be pretty easy to lose some of the weight at first, but your body (after about 6-8 weeks) will reach a plateau where it will become harder and take longer to lose the weight. You will have to keep up the exercise a lot longer than 3 months to lose 30-40 lbs. You are doing a great service to your body and overall health to be exercising this much, but in order to lose a lot of weight, you have to make lifestyle changes and stick to them... longer than 3 months. However, I do believe that you will lose the first 10-15lbs in 3 months for sure. Stick with it and you will get the results you want. Don't be hard on yourself if you can't get off all the weight in 3 months.. you'll get there

theres no way to tell. everyone is different.
the diet change is good. we all know you can't out train a bad diet....at first you should see some big losses. you could get that 30 lbs. but once you get settled into a healthy routine 1-2 lbs per week is healthy. its a life style change not just a thing you do for a few months.

I'm on the same boat! No fast food, lots of water, ab/butt/arms workout, running, etc. In 3 months, hopefully I'll lose 30 pounds, and I hope the same is for you, if not more.
