Help! I'm a hopelessly romantic guy, who dreams of falling in love and staying in love with a girl. It' s just who I am. But there is a problem, you see at the beginning of relationships I always get too emotionally invested, and too clingy and therefore end up driving people away which hurts even more. First of all, the real world doesn't work like that. If you're getting attached to EVERY GIRL you date, then you have dependency problems. Are you really THAT compatible with ANY girl who will give you attention? No. I think you should have more self esteem than that.
Realistically, you should date 10 girls before you find 1 that you think is really worth your time.
I think what will help is if you gain some self esteem and know that a girl has to really impress you before they can make you emotionally vulnerable, instead of "falling in love" with any girl who will go on a date with you. That's why they leave. You seem desperate.

Well, I'm glad there are still guys who believe in the old fashioned idea of a relationship. I was starting to wonder...anyways to the important part of your question. It's all about control. Control the urge to do something. For instance, calling. If you've called a girl more than 3 times and you feel the URGE to call again, don't. Just go do something to get your mind off of it. But really, you sound like a great guy!

Stop. Stop dating, do other things. Pick up hobbies, get another job, or just say for this month or year or 2 years I'm not going to get romatically involved with anyone or even look at or do anything romatic. mabie after you've not thought about it for a while, when you come back to it your head will be a little clearer. Sometime people can just get to absorbed in something and not be able to think at all.

I used to be the same way with guys, but what you need to realize is that if you do find someone who can tolerate, it's probably because they are the same way. If they are like you, then trust me, you will get no free time for your friends, she will be obsessive, and you will hate it. So maybe you should just try casually dating lots of people until you can get over this phase of your life.

how old r u? first give the girls some space
and play along let them know your there for them maybe one day you'll find a girl who likes or loves you for who you are for now focus on your goal in life

my boyfriend does this.its kinda annoying.just give them their spacce and let them control it...if they want to kiss you do it until they stop,let them touch you and then you can touch them but dont like keep touching them or say compliments or i love you nonstop because it gets to where it becomes meaningless...hope i helped
