Have some unexplained things happening in my son's home?

Every since his sister's sudden deaths in a car accident 7 weeks ago, he has been experiencing some odd things. He and his wife have both seen a flash of light, similiar to a small flashlight, that is there one instant and then gone the next. Then he smelled an umfamiliar perfume in the room. It only lasted a few minutes, both he and his wife smelled it, and then it was gone. He later identified the scent as "Navy", a scent his older sister used to wear. There is also a doll in his daughter's room, that was a gift from the older sister, that will start singing without anyone pushing the buttons to make her sing. Can anyone realistically and logically, explain what may be happening at his home?

As for the doll singing, I assume she is battery operated. Batteries store electrical energy. The human body is run by electrical impulses from the brain. Possibly, if a spirit is near, it affects the doll's batteries.

it is all the trick of mind. i am not saying ur son is crazy or anythig(plz dont take me wrong) but this often happens when a person misses someone alot. rightnow if u try to look very hard in the mirror and want to see a different(a specific one) hairstyle, u may even start to see it...bad example, but what i meant was if u decide that u want to see or hear or feel something....ur mind will make it true for you. the mind is very complex and alot of times plays games with us that we cannot explain. maybe thats what is going on here.
