My friend has a job lined up in a paper factory. He's going thrugh the required immigration policies through th UK embassy. Are there any organizations set up to help him pay for his flight from Uganda to the UK? It costs approximately $500 U.S. dollars and I don't have that much money at the moment to spare. I'm searched online for a while and I haven't been able to find any organizations that will help out an individual.

I know several people who have come to the UK from Africa and if they can't afford their own fare, as is often the case, it's usually other nationals that help out.

I'm not aware of any organisation that can assist - try his future employer and within the Ugandan community in the UK.

Does sound a bit optimistic, probably need to be future employer, as a loan maybe?
Good luck
