My gf and I have been together for a long time. What are some things we can do to keep sex interesting? we just don't want to get bored or locked into routine.

I suggest that you try all kinds of things. There is so much you can do with your partner to spice it up.. various positions (see Karma Sutra and the net), various places in and outside of the house, dress ups and role playing, toys, flirting in public, sex games, food etc. As kinky as you wanna get so long as you are both okay with it. Sit down with her and tell her you want keep her happy and ask her if she has any little fantasies. You could have a laugh while you discuss cheeky things you can do together. Go on the net and visit the sex shop together.
Don't forget about being romantic!! Suprise her with flowers and little cards, candles, baths together, massages, a romantic dinner under a tree at night with lots of fairy lights, weekend getaways, go to a spa retreat etc. Be spontaneous about it and it will be all the more fun. Healthy sex is about mind, body and spirit.

Look up new positiions, talk to her about exiting kinky things to do and offer mutual agreements and such. You will do anything at all she asks, without question, for her, as long as its sexual. Then she will take any request from you. Being the guy still ask though (forcing a girl into a bad situation is a bad choice). Start by getting a Karma Sutra Book and do all the positions, try going to different places like the beach, and maybe even play a fantasy game. Even add things like food, toys, etc... There's a million things you can do be creative!!

The other week i wrote and e-mailed my boyfriend a little bit of erotic fiction i wrote for him. It was basically a shower scene and i sent it to him when i knew he would read it but we wouldn't see each other for another day.

Bro, get a room at a nice hotel if you don't already live together. Get some massage oil, warm it really good under hot water and massage every inch of her.

I, personally, am quite simple/professional/etc. My bf decided one night to tie me up to his chin up bar, delite me, and finished off by pulling my hair (even though its kinga short). It rocked!!
