60lbs....eat more protein and less carbs...do different exercises..and eating only 500 calories WILL NOT make you lose weight. I worked out 6 times a day..burning a minimum 500 calories and maximum (w/ a personal trainer) 1000..and my daily intake was 1800 cals (i'm 5'11 and a female) I lost the 60lbs within 9 months...(doesnt come off overnight) DIETS DONT WORK YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR LIFESYLE...so cut out the mcdonalds and fast foods and eat more salads and fruits and veggies

225 lbs. It took 20 years, I still have about another 75 lbs. to go. It is hard. Sometimes it felt like it wasn't worth it. You also need to have family and friends that try and help you, and not put road blocks in your way. Set reasonable goals for your self. You can eat just about anything, but it has to be in moderation. Breakfast is the most important meal. Eat 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big meals. Drink a lot of water. Walking is the best exercise, and it doesn't have to be power walking either. Start slow and work yourself up to walking farther.

in two years, I lost 110. This summer I lost 40lbs.
Diets only go so far...
Best advise is to stick to a schedule and do not vacation! Some people might try to discourage you, but don't let them.
Try to dedicate 2-3 hours at a gym, which includes changing clothes and showering.
Treadmills are your best friends in winter and spring, outside sidewalks and trails are your best friends in Summer and fall .

i lost 80 pounds.
the best advice i have is
EAT LESS!!!
that's what i did and it worked.
not even so much about what you eat
but each MUCH LESS volume of food.
however i have answered about 100 questions about how to lose weight and i have never gotten best answer so i don't think people want to accept this answer. but i know it's true.
and i am not overweight. most americans are.

for me i ate healthier and i did not touch anything fatening for a while also weigh your self daily to see if you lose any i also exercise daily and walk my cat she gets exercise and so do i i walked my neighbors dogs and got active i even took gym but if this does not work do not take a diet pill because those are sometimes not god for you at all
