Because leaving isn't always as easy as saying it, or having someone say it to you! There may be some things going on in the marriage that people don't understand. Cheating isn't the answer, but until you've been a mile in someone else's shoes, who are we to judge?

Because they likely live with the person and have a home etc. Leaving a marriage is not just like deciding to pack up and walk away. Especially if there are children involved. They should not lie and they should do the right thing, but it is human nature to take the path of least resistance.

They're trying to get a bit of everything good and avoid all the negative parts. They don't want to hurt their spouse by divorcing but need something more than what the relationship has. They may wish they never married the spouse but not believe in divorce. Or they may just get a thrill out of cheating. Who knows!

Avoid people like that. They'll never be honest to you.

Sometimes it easier to cheat than leave. A marriage symbolizes sacrifices and commitments. sometimes it is very hard to get reestablished after a divorce. Most people think they will just stay put and do what they want. It's a sad reality, but most people are afraid to voice the truth and would rather live a lie thinking to thmeselves, "What they don't know won't hurt them."

because they WANT the marriage for whatever reasons.
but it doesn't meet all of their needs. they may not want to leave because of children, family expectations, financial reasons, or because they made a promise, or they're afraid to be alone. many reasons. they may not fully realize that the cheating ruins their marriage. they often think they can just do both and it will be ok. there is a big gray area between unhappy enough to leave and unsatisfied enough to cheat.

Unfortuatly somtimes forbidden things apeal to people. The grass seems greener and they feel they can get what they want from another while still keeping what they have. Ususaly this doesnt end well, and this certanly shouldnt be the way things are done. However in a society that wants "Everything Now!" people wont do the right things and be responsible for their actions.

I agree..it seems easy to not lie. But there are people who want their cake and eat it also. I think people do this because they're looking for approval of their attractiveness or power from as many people as they can manipulate. They enjoy being in control and being wanted by so many different people. They like to see how often they can "trade up" to a more attractive partner.

Because when you're married, the attraction goes down the drain. They aren't attracted to each other anymore, but they still love each othr. So,one or both people cheat, because they want somethng new and attractive, not boring and the same.Especially if they just want to hook up.

Some people want both. They want a spouse at home and want to go out and be promiscuous too. They are not worth being with, though. I agree. Leave, then run around....
