There have been FAR WORSE historical examples in Our History than the recent red herrings

Try Executive Order #9066
120,000 Americans put into camps because of their Race

Try the Sedition act of 1918 that put thousands of Mildly anti-war persons into federal Prisons

Try Operation Underworld

Try to get some historical depth before claiming the sky is falling, we've had Far worse.

Wow, I'm glad that people take so much pride in b*tching about something they are to coward to stand up for. Look at other countries that have a Dictatorship instead of a Democracy. Like it or not, our leaders were ELECTED, you did and still do have a voice. Take it out in the next election, because our fore fathers made a system better then any that came before. I would love to see some of you live in a place where turely only one person made deicisions on your well being.

It's not so much "giving the govt power" as the govt taking it and us (at least many of us) not objecting.

And yes, many of the actions taken by our govt recently (and in times past) are unconstitutional.

But until we stand up and demand the govt follow the rules, it just keeps slipping downhill towards a totalitarian regime.

the american people have crippled themselves because we let it happen. we don't raise our voices and fight for our rights. it's our own fault that we have a tyrant in office and our government is turning more imperialistic each day
