What does mean "Big Gun"?
it looks like a strong weapon?
or is it a idiom?
if yes ,do you know where comes from?
and when do you use it.
I occasionaly found this word on newspaper.

That term may be used to describe a person in a company, a CEO or boss.

In other cases, people may say "It's time to 'break out' (use) the 'big gun'" in situations where there are on going problems that have not been resolved by regular means...in short, it means to use drastic measures to solve a problem.

It is an idiom for power, usually used in a sentence like:

"The buyer wasn't responding to his soft sales pitch, it was time to bring out the big guns."

I think it means "the boss" or something like that...someone with a lot of importance.
