I hope you will become a geek because geeks are smart and interesting and they know a lot of useful stuff. Being in the popular group is not that great. If you become a geek, the popular kids will come to you when they want help. If they are smart enough to ask for help.
Why would asthma have anything to do with it? Anyway, make sure you take care of your asthma, and you should be fine. I have asthma too, and with proper medicine I am fine.
That's my opinion. I like geeks better.

Asthma usually doesn't mean you'll be a geek. Neither does good grades. In fact, the popular kids at my high school are the ones who care about their grades. Do you want to know why? Because they're the rich kids. Rich kids learn from their rich mom and dads that you have to get good grades to go to college. Going to college can make you rich. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

You are only going to be a geek if you WANT TO BE. Caring about your grades is an admirable trait not one that makes you a geek. Alot of people have asthma, dont let it bother you

Maybe, but you will become a rich Geek.

School popularity means nothing; it will not effect your life besides the therapy you will need later.

Do the best you can and then the whole world changes after high school and none of the junk you go through now matters.

Good luck...nerd!

don't worry about it you have bigger issues to deal with such as, why do you think being a geek is a bad thing? I'm assuming by geek you mean your starting to like academic challenges and don't place as much value in hanging out at the mall and smoking pot?. Hard to know with the little you said, but regardless geeks are people too....Lets

You can be popular and get good grades; just be nice and friendly and good-humored, and that will go a LONG way.

You are probably a little young to be worrying about this, plus there are some new asthma drugs out there that might be able to help you with that particular worry.

quit worrying and just live your life, who cares if your a geek or not? Social clicks are so dumb no matter what you do someone has to be in the geek club and the looser club, just remember if you do get into the popular club just think about how you treat others, its not fun to be in the geek looser or other 'lower' looked down upon clubs, put yourself if that position before you judge. good luck, on your social standings

Of course not! Although it's good to be in a group, always try to be yourself. Be nice and kind to everyone, and do not judge your classmates by their degree of "popularity," their race or skin color, their clothing, their grades, etc. Treat everyone with respect and accept them for who they are.

Be proud of your good grades, and by all means, keep on caring about them. You will set a positive example for others.

Asthma is a common ailment among school age children, so don't worry about that either!

Best of luck - I'm sure you are a wonderful student!
