I read something in the paper today and there was a highschool girl who was being interviewed and was asked what her plans after highschool were. She responded that she was going to be an actress, journalist or some other sort of writer but 'god' told her to join the Marines instead and 'god' explained she would be doing better things in the Marines and blah blah blah.

Do you usually associate behavior like that with some sort of mental instability?

i associate it with weakness. She is definately too scared to make her own descision in life' so she trusted a voice in her head which is supposed to be "all-knowing" to live and make descisions for her.

i tend to stay away from them only because they tend to be too religous and if they're christians(most) then they are too 'cocky' for lack of a better word when it comes to discussing religion or talking to them about it. They don't trust anything that doesnt come out of a clergy man or the bible.

That is exactly what Andrea Yeats said right after she drowned her kids in a bathtub. Yes, I stay really far away from that.

Yes it's mental instability, but hey it make whole thing more fun. I can get them in bed just because I say "god told me you have to do it!"

To me it's just people talking to their imaginary friend.

unquestionably. also with immaturity - the way they defer responsibility for their actions.
