I assume you have not read the bible?

The bible records that Mary herself admitted that she is ONLY a humble vessel for God.

Who is greater? God or the servant?

Most Christian churches don't hold Mary to a high esteem, nor do they hold any of the disciples to an elevated level. The focus is put on God the Son, God the Father, and God the Spirit, as well as some emphasis on John the Baptist, and discussions about the work the disciples did for Jesus. The verbal abuse is not acceptable in most circles, but there are always a few who will say anything. Most Christians only talk about Mary at Christmas, and even then, they don't have much to say. Maybe it has to do with the break from the Catholic church.

Mary was honored by giving birth to the son of God. She is not God.

Did Christ ever say to pray to Mary? No.

Can Mary be respected for being the mother of Christ, yes but not prayed to, and not honored as a God.

She was a part of Jesus' life but not the message. To put her above the message is to prevert the message and take fouce away from the true message.

Why do you need Jesus? Do you know?

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

I dont understand why they do not honour Mary. You must understand even God needed a mortal female being to have a child on earth. So every body must understand the importance of a mother. Even God was helpless without a female. So Mary should be honoured as a mother of Gods son, as a power of mother even over God.

Mary is just an earthly woman who gave birth to our Lord and Savior. The only way you can get to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Not Mary, Jesus's mother. So why should we give honor where honor is not required. The one we should be giving all our honor too is Jesus Christ the living God!

Mary was quite possibly the finest woman who ever lived. I would not argue that at all. God would have chosen the best to love and nurture His son on earth. But- she was a mortal woman. I do honor her, but I cannot worship her. When did Jesus ever tell people to worship His mother as a goddess?

they do. she is highly prized. a beautiful spiritual stone.
It has been said, that Mary was born with out sin. god the holy spirit would not have inserted the son of man into an unfaithful and sin full vessel. Joseph at the time was Marys husband but mortal, with original sin implanted on his soul. Mary has not done any miracles for herself or in her name of "Mary". But only in the name of Jesus Christ her son. in her own name she cannot do anything. she places her son as the Messiah the one to use his heel against the snakes head. but still her son.

To my understanding the statues are idols and noone is supposed to worship any other but Jesus and the Father, for no man gets to the Father except through the Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.John 14:6

Mary is a woman most blessed. She was chosen to be the mother of Jesus.
Her place in faith and in Jesus' life is honorable.

Some churches have raised her to a position that does not belong to a mortal. Only Jesus died on the cross for the sin(s) of mankind.

Mary's own beautiful prayer, The Magnificat, is testimony to her humanity, and to her knowledge that she herself needed a Savior.

Honor the Virgin, but keep her role in its proper perspective.
Mother to Jesus? Yes.
Co-Redmptrix? No.

Several reasons:

1. They think it was the most ordinary thing for an angel to appear and ask her to become the mother of God (in time). They cannot wrap their minds how much courage, faith and love that took on her part. I wonder if anyone else would have taken that risk to say "yes". Its always easy to say "yes" in hind-sight, of course!

2. Mary herself declared -- under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit proclaimed that "all generations would call her blessed"....do you call her thus? If not....why not? She was prompted by the Holy Spirit....do you not follow his promptings?

3. We Catholics do NOT worship Mary....we honor her. If I claim Jesus as my brother then it stands to reason that I claim her as my mother. And since we have the commandment to honor thy father and mother.....how fitting that I should honor -- NEVER worship -- my true mother as well as my mother on earth.

4. Have you noticed? More and more Protestant communities are realizing that they have dishonored Mary by relegating her to a mere statue in a manger scene at Christmas and so they are re-discovering what it truly is to honor -- NEVER worship -- her.

5. As far as calling Mary the "Queen of Heaven"....the King's mother is always called the Queen Mother. She is the mother of Jesus our King.

6. Yes....she is the Mother of God....in time.

She is NOT the Mother of God from eternity.
She is NOT the Mother of God the Father.
She is NOT the Mother of God the Holy Spirit
She IS, however, the Mother of the Son of God...IN TIME.

If you claim that she is only the mother of the man Jesus in the flesh, then at what point did he become divine? Half-way down the birth canal? Just after? At his baptism? If you believe that Jesus was divine from eternity, then you have to agree that Mary is indeed the Mother of the Son of God.....IN TIME.

First, you must know that "Lord" is a title. There were many "Lords" in Jesus' time. Second, most churches do honor her. Third, some churches just don't care.
