Question placed before but did not spell tolerant correctly so I cancelled question so I would not receive further advice regarding my spelling. Thanks for those who pointed it out.

Isn't the problem that many people have with the Muslim religion, more specifically "the terrorists", is their lack of tolerance? Please see below- some definitions of Jihad.

Merriam-Webster:
Jihad- a crusade for a principle or belief

Wikipedia:
Jihad, sometimes spelled Jahad, Jehad, Jihaad, Jiaad, Djihad, or Cihad, (Arabic: جهاد‎ ǧihād) as an Islamic term, literally means struggle in the way of God or "striving hard in God's cause" and is sometimes referred to as the sixth pillar of Islam, although it occupies no official status as such in Sunni Islam.

Please note that I mean no disrespect to Muslims or Christians, but I need to work on my tolerance of religious wars.

NO! If anything, Christians should be more tolerant in today's society. To become less tolerant would only create more animosity toward Christians, Christianity, and Christ. We Christians must show the world that Jesus loves them and as His followers we do, too. How can we demonstrate Christ's love to them by being less tolerant of them?

We should be less tolerant of sin than we are in our own lives and the lives of our bretheren, but what else can we expect from unbelievers than to sin, they are only doing what comes natural. If we want change, the only answer is to get out there and present the Gospel, and not this "God has a wonderful plan for your life" gas, they must understand the utter abhorrance God has for sin, and His hatred of it and anger against it, the seriousness of it, and His answer for it, Jesus.

It is time that we truly pratice what we claim to believe. To look in to the teaching of Jesus and make them part of our lives. Not just giving them lipservice and dening Christ with our life style.

How can anyone believe what we claim when we don't even live by the faith we claim?

But we like to say, but I'm save by grace. Okay Grace from what? Do you who claim the faith even know? You claim Jesus but do you know why you need him?

So many don't, yet they are so fast to claim Jesus and then set themselves up as judges when that was not the example.

Are you a good person? What a question, most of us believe that we are good people because we can look around and find someone that is far worse than we are. We can always point to the things that we think make us a good person.

But how good are we really? Dare we take this test and look at ourselves and see if we really are good? Hmmm.

If you are willing try this and see just how good a person you are.

The Good Person Test.

How will you do? Pass or fail?

Have you ever told a lie?
Doesn't matter how big or small, just a lie.
What does that make you? Before answering think about this, if I told you a lie what would you call me? A liar?

Have you ever stolen anything? Cost doesn't matter, a piece of gum, failed to give back an ink pen that you borrowed, anything.
What does that make you?

Jesus said, "You know the saying of old, you shall not commit adultery but I say that if look at someone to lust after them you have committed adultery in your heart.
Have you ever lusted?

Jesus said that hate is equal to murder.
Have you ever hated anyone?

See one day we all are going to stand before a Holy God on Judgment Day and he is going to judge us based on His Holy Law, the Ten Commandments. These are just 4 of them and how did you do? Guilty? I have broken all of these and more, what about you? How well will you do on Judgment Day?

If we break just one point of God's Law we are guilty of breaking all the law and Gods Wrath abides upon us all. Based on God's Law we are all guilty and all are deserving of punishment. But there is an out for us.

Jesus paid the price for each one of us, took on himself God's Wrath so we wouldn't have to face it on our own. Jesus was beaten, battered, bleed and died so we wouldn't have to face God's Wrath. He rose again so that we would life in his presence. Our crimes, His payment.

The real question is where will you stand on Judgment Day. Pay yourself or have it paid for you. Think about it.

Should we be less tolerant? Absolutely! As Christians we are to set ourselves apart. 2 Timothy 3:12 says "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." So not only should we be expected to stand up for him we should also be able to suffer willingly for him. Kudos to you if you are taking a stand!! God Bless!!

I'm not sure what you mean by "being tolerant". I respect that every person has a right to choose what to believe. I do not agree that "all ways" lead to God, I believe only Jesus can save anyone, and I believe that the bible is what it claims to be, given by inspiration of God.

I don't go around telling people they are going to hell for believing otherwise (*smile*...unless they are on Yahoo answers asking me a direct question about all this. So, although I give others the right to believe what they choose, I stand on His word every minute of every day!

And for someone who's so amazing, I think we should raise our fist's in the air and praise him for the almighty God he is. 8]

Wow, I have never typed anything like that before, but I sure do mean it.

You should respect other people's beliefs. That doesn't mean you have to accept them as being true. But that does mean allowing other people to have free will. As long as they are not taking away another's free will. It is a very fine line - one that we must all learn to walk.

One should stand up for one's beliefs. But remember all people have a right to chose - and not all are going to agree with you.
