Asalamu Alaikum Brother

Allah (SWT) revealed the Quran over 23 years and added the requirements of Islam as the people were ready for them. The primary focus for may of the first years of relevation was the oneness of Allah (SWT) Salaah was not ordered until about 11 years later. This does not mean you should delay but it means that he is merciful and, inshAllah, will allow you time to learn
Remember he is the most forgiving and most Marciful. Allah has more mercy than all of man kind combined.

That said it is not as hard as you think. When I first started to study it seemed an enormous task. But It turned out to be simple. In fact it was easier for me to memorize in Arabic than English and I had never heard Arabic before I converted. The Quran is a myricle and it is suprisingly easy to memorize and the majority of salaah is Quran verses.

First i got some transliterations and then I got a tape of Salaah and I listen and changed the transliterations in a way that I would understand (many of those who do translitierations have no experience with phonics so they are hard to understand so it is easier to listen and personlize I added a lot of spanish symbols because they helped me to know when to roll rs and such.) Once I did that I taped the transliterations to my cars steering wheel. I had no idea how much time I wasted in the car until I did this. I just memorized one line at a time while I was stuck in traffic. ( I live in Atlanta so I spend far too much time in traffic.) It took me about a month to "memorize" it roughly, and then 6 months until I felt confident.

I learned the Basic English at the same time, so I could have intention. It is my personal belief that if you don't understand what you are saying you can not have intention. But admittendly there are some that will disagree with me.

Brother just ignore the Christians. They really don't mean you harm, they are just don't have any idea what true Islam is about. Most have been bombarded with propaganda and lies. There intention is to help, so we just pray that they are truely guided.

Yes I think so. Most people say you should pray in Arabic because that was the original language and the full meaning can be only conveyed in it. However there is no verse in the Quran or any hadith that actually says you must pray in Arabic.

Salaams.
Yes you can. I'm a native English speaker and so obviously it means the most to me to say it in English. I have my prayers memorized in Arabic though. You can do the prayer in any language.

God speaks all languages so as long as you are praying to GOD and not an Idol I would say you are safe.

You can pray in this language instead of in islam that's bringing you to hell.

Learn the facts from here:

Muhammad said he's a prophet and prophesied in the bible. Yet when we refer to the bible, it says in Luke 16:16 that there are no more prophets after John the Baptist. This means that muhammad was a liar.

Allah says he is god, yet when we refer to the book of exodus, God said His name is Yah-weh. Again, another liar.

Q'uran says it is the 100% arabic and written by allah. Yet historians have proven that it is not 100% arabic, but contains jargon of other mixed languages plus many of its claims go against common historical facts.

So, why does one accept islam?

Granted there are peacefull muslims, not all are as liberal as you are. Be carefull!
