Get over it and move on. Christmas was months ago.

Well, I took back his presents, treated myself to a massage and pedicure, treated my best friend to a dinner and night out (she had listened to the crying the night it happened) and took a 6 month dating sabatical! Jumping into a new relationship was out of the question as I would have treated the next guy as bad as I had been treated. Instead I jumped into activities I loved and made sure I had very little downtime to obsess over the details of it all. After I felt ready, I jumped into the dating world head first and have met a wonderful man who is the true love of my life!!
The pain will pass (though it seems like it never will) and you will find love again. Best wishes!!

My wife told me she was leaving me in Alaska a week before Christmas, and we still had to have dinner, and a party with our friends. That was one odd occasion. She left with my son to New Jersey, and it took me 6 months to get out of the military. In the end I am happy to be near my son, but I've since understood, and am glad she's happy now, and I've been with someone new now for 8 years. It all works out somehow, but yeah it sucks at the beginning, and all you can do is talk to friends and family, and scream at the walls.

The love of my past left 2 days before X-mass, so I curled around a bottle ( part of wy she left) . When I sobered up 2 days later I decided I had to get some help. Her loving me was the best thing to happen to me in twenty + years. Her leaving was the best thing in 30!

Well I would be very upset. And then I would realize how lucky I was to be rid of him and feel sorry for the next one that gets tangled up with him. Then I would buy myself a very nice Christmas present. Oh and thank your Christmas angle

You don't DO anything about it. Life goes on, there will be someone else. If you are vindictive....what goes around will certainly come back around to bite you on the butt.
Consider yourself lucky you were married with a gang of kids, because he would have left you eventually anyway.

I'd be sad, no doubt, but I'd surround myself with real friends and family who loved me and enjoy every sight, sound, and smell of this glorious season without his sorry self. I'd deck the halls with boughs of holly and stand right under the mistletoe with jingle bells on my toes. I'd send him a blank card with a snowman and an inscription that read something like, "May your b*lls get frost bitten. Good riddance. Happy New Year; Mine will be the best one yet!"

I don't know, but I did have a boyfriend dump me on Valentines Day, I ate the chocolates I got him and burned the stuffed bear that came with them. 5 years later I married someone else and couldn't be happier. Life goes on.

Return the amazing gift he was suppose to get. And go on vacation with my new found fortune to celebrate my overnight weight loss(the first hundred plus pounds(or whatever he weighs in at) are always the hardest to lose)
