Be sure to mention that most of the evidence for natural "cancer cures" is anecdotal at best.

Look up how flax seed, containing lignin, can help cure the body of breast cancer. There is a ton of information on this. The lignin competes with estrogen at a contact site. Because not all of the estrogen gets a "spot" so to speak, the excess gets flushed out of the body. Many breast cancer patients have breast cancer because of excess estrogen in the body.
The tea thing sound interesting too. Between these two, you'll take up 2 minutes easily.
Oh... by the way, the kid that went to Mexico survived. The doctor is full of crap. I'm not saying that I wouldn't have chemo, but I sure would give natural cures a chance first. Doctors don't get paid or glory from patients using natural cures. Of course they are going to tell you that they don't work. Also, being the devil's advocate, there are no studies done by the FDA on natural cures because they won't make money off pharmaceudicals that way. Would you put money into something that you'll never get it back out of? NO!

Try Vitamin C therapy. A few years ago a cancer researcher came out with a paper saying that the best cancer and infection fighter as yet found was Interferon, but, at the time, it cost $15,000 a gram. The good part was that Interferon was a product of the natural breakdown of Vitamin C in your system. Shortly after that paper came out the FDA tried to make Vit C by prescription only. Guess why? The FDA says that the RDA for Vit C is 64 mg a day, just enough to prevent scurvy. Linus Pauling, who got a Nobel Prize for his work with Vit C and a second Nobel Prize for organic chemistry, said 1000 mg a day as a minimum and 2000 mg a day if you are sick. On a personal note, I was sick twice a year, for 2 weeks at a time, for 20 years, and was flat on my back for at least a week each time. To this day the doctors have no idea what the problem was. After I gave up on the doctors I tried Vit C. I took enough to keep from being sick and just below too much to get diarrhea. It followed a bell curve over 2 weeks with a peak at 40,000 mg a day – about 300,000 over the 2 weeks. I was not sick for those 2 weeks and after a couple of years of that I have not been sick since. I did not dissolve my kidneys, as some doctors said would happen. I did not get any calcium build up or stones and did not dissolve my cones or solidify my joints. Try it, but drink a lot of water – Vit C is a natural diuretic.

There is no cure for cancer. Cancer is over 200 different types of disease with various stages and grades of tumor. There is however treatment for all types, stages, and grades of cancer which can lead to cure. There is no documented scientific evidence of any natural cure, other than a spontaneous remission.

There are some Clinical Trials beginning to test some of the herbal treatments that have been offered as beneficial to cancer treatment. You can check the national website to see which treatments are being studied. There is no conclusive evidence so far that any of them can be used to cure even one type, let alone 200 different types of cancer. But, keep in mind that research is ongoing.

Are you giving a speech on how "natural cures" have no evidence of effectiveness? You can try www.quackwatch.org.

If you want information on how clinical trials are performed and what data is collected, you can look at www.clinicaltrials.gov.

You have one chance for a cure, do you really want to take a chance on something totally unproven?

I can see someone with no hope trying anything, or someone with no money, but my oncologist told me that one couple took their child out of the hospital down to Mexico for this B17 cure or whatever, only to come rushing back but it was too late at that point.

Many people feel that specific diet changes, relaxation imagery, and specific vitamins and enzymes cure cancer. That is why many people end up going to places like Mexico where they offer alternatives to chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Google alternatives to cancer treatment and you will get hordes of information

visit www.gerson.com It is filled with natural cancer treatments. My favorite is the juice diet. They have a treatment center in Mexico. They can't get it approved in the U.S. I think it's becasue Dr.'s don't want to lose all the money they get from chemo patients and what not. I know a few people that have used the gerson method and have all had tremendous results. Feel free to contact me if you have any more specific questions about anything. Good luck with your speech
