(Blatantly stolen from R&S user Blaise Pascal.)

Squishy: I didn't mean that I had stolen the question verbatim from Pascal. I meant the idea. I didn't see this question in your profile :)

Here's his profile, you'll see what I mean:

First of all, evolution isn't something to be "believed in." It's science.. it's real, it's happened to all of us and will continue long after we're gone. One does not "believe" in evolution, one can only accept or deny it.

With that said what would one lose by accepting evolution... How about nothing. The real question is what would one lose by not accepting evolution. One would lose any advantage on the intellectual playing field. A solid education, the respect of people who accept reality, a proper understanding of the world, sanity, and much much more.

Because evolution doesn't even begin to fill in even half the blanks.

And no sanction is out there that means you can't believe in evolution and that a Divine being out there started everything in motion.

Maybe - if science ever has all the answers simple minded questions will cease to exist.

Common-sense, for starters. Think about it- why would a fish need to "evolve" when it's already in an environment suitable for its design- that is , water? Something that evolutionists have too much of on the brain. Look- the only thing that "evolution" has ever proven is that it can create kick-*** ideas for science-fiction movies (emphasis on "science-fiction).

evolution sounds so swell
but if I take the bitter pill
you know old sky daddy will
send me straight to hell!

[chorus]
straight to hell, straight to hell,
we're going straight to hell,
straight to hell, straight to hell,
'cause evolution is so swell.
