My sister died three years ago and I was very sad.

For the last week I have had a bit of difficulty sleeping.

I have heard that these are symptoms of Bi-Polar disorder.
Should I be on meds?

You have a problem. Do you think that it wouldn't catch up to you? Telling someone they are bipolar because they have a fear of tanning booths? Are you nuts? Do you realize the damage you could have caused? How could you do that? Are you aware of impersonating is against the guidelines here? What kind of person does that? And now you have the nerve to ask a question about the same diagnosis you just gave? You are to be pittied. Oh by the way, just so others will know, here is your response to that person.

I am a trained Psychiatrist.

From what you describe, I have a pretty good idea that what you are suffering from is Schizophrenia and possibly Bipolar II.

You have a chemical imbalance that needs to be corrected. You have elevated seratonin and dopamine levels. That is what is making you act this way.

You need to see a psychiatrist immediatly. Ask him to put you on Respiridone and Lithium.
Once you are properly diagnosed you need to inform the motor vehicle branch and let them know that you are potentialy a dangerous driver because of a mental illness.

Trust me... I have been doing this for 25 years. I know schizophrenia when I see schizophrenia and I am sorry to say.... you have it!

You may need to spend a few weeks in a mental hospital. You will get the proper medications there.
Once you are treated, you will find that your life will improve drastically.

Just because you have a few symptoms of a disorder does not mean you have it. Sleep deprivation, no matter how long after, is just a normal part of grief, as is being very sad or even depressed. The fact that you are worried that you have it means you probably do not. Don't worry, it doesn't sound like you're even remotely Bipolar.

LOL, I just noticed you've been pasting the exact same thing onto several questions, saying you're a psychiatrist. You do know you can be arrested for impersonating a doctor of any kind, right? If you want to answer questions, answer with something the person can use, not something that fills up their inbox with lies.

If what you're saying is true, you might have depression, talk to a medical doctor. Judging by the other answers to your question, it's sounds like you might have some other issues.

I just checked out some of your answers to other questions, and I'll let you know something--real psychiatrists have an MD or a DO, they may also have PhD, but I doubt if a real psychiatrist would make a big deal out of having a PhD. If you want to go on pretending to be a psychiatrist why don't you change your nickname to Dr. Quack?

I have a hard time believing your story since you copy and paste the exact same answer for every question. If I'm wrong I'm very sorry for your loss and it doesn't sound like bi polar, sounds like depression.

In my opinnion stay away from medication as much as possible. Medication suppressing the hurt, not heals it. Try going to a local church and get connected with youth, or start exercising, like running in the mornings. Fresh air, and muscle burn will put your nerves at ease. Also, if you are desperate for medication, I suggest Valerian Root tablets. One tablet any time a day will calm you down, and it's natural! Also, try to talk to your friends as much as possible about it, or relatives, or teachers, anyone you can! Don't worry about annoying people! You need to talk, and believe me, it helps! I'm really sorry about your sister, but she is in heaven, a much better place! And she most assurably wants you to be happy!

That is depression. Bi-Polar is marked by a manic or hypomanic phase. You are a one polar-not a 2 polar. see your doctor.

Wow...bravo...just a few questions ago you told someone you were a psychologist...and you diagnosed them with being Bipolar just by them asking a question about a fear of tanning.

It is people like you who truly need help. Even if the questions are lame and not really worth your time...why bother answering them.

Get a life!

for someone who is a trained psychiatrist or whatever u call urself shouldnt u already know the answer?
instead of consulting us 'normal' people why dont u consult with ur colleagues. they may be able to diagnose ur illness if u cant do it urself.
