does anyone know anything about the speaker size in a 1993 altima? I went best buy today and loved the 6 1/2'' speakers, but i dont know if they'll fit. the speakers in the back are only 25 watts ( i didn't check the front) and i hate them. i'm a jazz man and that doesn't support my needs. i actually dont care about the size of the speaker, i just know that i need atleast 50 watts or as close as i can get. i plan on replacing all 4 speakers aswell. so if anyone knows any information at all, i would greatly appreciate it. thanks a lot.

or just crutchfield.com it will tell you what fits, or just call their tech support and they will also help you select what you need exactly. once i called them looking for another amp to match the one i had, not only did they look it up for me and find it, but the suggested i got the scratch and dent model that they had it was only a surface scratch but saved me half the cost. worked fine. they are awsome with car stereo.

hope this helps mate,

your problem may be the factory amp does not have enough power... new speakers may help some but new speakers and a new cd deck would help even more.

But if you do upgrade go to crutchfield.com, put your car make and model in, in and it will tell you what speakers will work... specific models... depending on the depth of the doors and the rear deck,

I know crutchfield will guarentee that they will fit... they have free returns if you donn't like the sound for any reason for 30 days...

for everybody:

if you want 20 of your first order at crutchfield, use coupon code... phzcs-a9gdi-rqwap no expiration date, and cheaper than best buy... also no tax i think... also they have some free shipping deals from time to time

(min order is 200 dollars, but a high quality set of alpines will run you just at 200 for a set of 4... and they will come with free install wiring and brackets...you can't gop wrong with crutchfield...

they have great customer service and also techs on the phone who can help you through any install)

note distortion kills speakers, not a lack of power

enjoy

I'd say to try the speakers and if they don't fit trim the box or fabricate your own speakerbox. Other than that all you have to do is remove the olds put in the news re wire the new speakers and your good to go. Hope that helps.

You can upgrade any car speaker. Just get the same size so it fits.
