I feel like I don't have any of my confidence in gym class. I do very poorly in it while everyone seems to be so much better than me. I'd do anything to get out of it. I have a very high self-confidence until I get to gym class. Can anyone help? I've talked to my school guidance counselour but she didn't halp anything.

Concentrate on and think of what sports and activities you are good at, and don't think about or focus on what you struggle with or compare yourself to the other students. So you aren't that great at gym class, big deal. But I bet you're great at your other subjects, and that's what really counts, because that's what's going to matter more 1, 5, even 10 years down the road from now. Focus on what you CAN do, not what you can't do, and remind yourself of your other school subjects that you excel in, that will take you further in life.

try to work on your confidence in sports by practing athletics on your own. you could do something like 20 sit ups/push ups a day or you sould swim laps every weekend. You could run twice a week on your won to build endurance. This will help you feel better about Gym class.

I suggest training hard. I'm talking about running laps, push ups, sit ups, try learning how to play some sports. Anything you can do to increase your pysical strength. That's what I did, and I am no longer the slowest, weakest, 'under confidence' person in class! Good luck!

I'll bet she didn't accept any of your whining and sniveling. she probably told you to get a better attitude and start working harder, didn't she. Boy, I bet you shut her right off, didn't you?
Quit feeling sorry for yourself and start working harder.
