what do Enzymes break down in the small intestines

Digestion in the small intestines usually takes place in the duodenum and the upper one third of the jejunum. The duodenum receives pancreatic juices that contain enzymes and alkaline solution rich in bicarbonates.

Small intestines also receive bile from the liver, via the common bile duct. Bile emulsifies fat and increases emulsified fats' surface area for the action of pancreatic lipase.

Pancreatic enzymes mainly breakdown proteins, fats , and carbohydrates into simpler chemicals to be absorbed into the body via villi in the jejunum and ileum.

I'm a trained health professional, so, this is just my 2 cents about my knowledge of digestion.

Fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. We bread them down into individual fatty acids, amino acids and oligopeptides, and monsaccarides respectively.
