They come in all varieties.
But for me the clincher is this. How many gods are there? Picking the wrong one is worse than picking no god.
I suspect the Bible people have picked the wrong one; that is their wager, and I shudder to think of their fate.
If you pick no god you are hedging your bets; then too, there's that quote from Thomas Jefferson that gives me comfort -- I forget how it goes, but I like it.
I guess you can also say "Hallelujah" to Jesus now and then, if you really need to.
