Not to disagree with the other answers, but the film isn't just light sensitive. It's extremely temperature sensitive. If it's been in a dry cool place, then you may be alright. But I would take my camera in and have the film safely removed and simply develop it without completing the roll, especially if you are trying to take pictures now that you would want to keep.

I'm not too proud of it, but I did work in a photo lab for years and am the child of a professional photographer. You wouldn't believe how many vacationers put their camera in the dashboard of the car, and then wonder what happened to their film!

Film usually has an expiration date on the package. Some boxes of film that I bought at the beginning of year have an expiration of 09/2008, that's about a year and a half, maybe more.

I think it'll be fine.

It should still be good to use. From what you say. I have seen pictures taken when Pearl harbor was attacked. They were developed recently. They all c ame out ok. Thats over 60 years ago..Use up the film what have you to lose.

yep...most def. it'll be fine...i am taking b&w (black and white) photography now and i know for sure that it'll be fine...at most all you have to worry about is the film being exposed to light...that is the main ingredient that can cause some serious damage to your film/photos.
