Why not? Why are oranges orange? Genetics, DNA, EVOLUTION!!!!

Better, because God in infinite omnipotence knew that humans would like it that way. Grapefruit are God's gift to human beings.

*smile* to test our patience. I have a grapefruit every morning for breakfast. It takes me fifteen minutes to take that knife and loosen up each little wedge...and about thirty seconds to eat it!
