A good question and I do hope it does generate much thought.
Do not jump to a false conclusion by my statement because it is a two edged concept. I do hope all, and I mean all who read this question will start to think some. First I hope those who do say they are atheists think about their position in the light of what does exist. I also hope that all who say they are not an atheist will think about this question and maybe wonder why there is not room for all. I mean why can not an athiest be an atheist if that is what he desires to be and those that do desire another position, let them have their own view.
I also hope that the asker of this question will reread it and then think up a good reason why he is able to be on this free place to give his opinion and yet wonders why others should be allowed to do the same. Is that a good position to hold?
Please I am of the position there is plenty of room for all and such does keep the world turning and confused. WOW how boring it would be if there was no debate and all were just YES men.. I sure would be the first to leave Yahoo Q&A if such was the case.
Will this question bring about some thought? I see a little in some of the answers so far but not much. [That is my opinion OK.]
Oh by the way I am a "NO", a 100% "NO" . Is it OK if I continue in this form?
Just curious because I do enjoy it, smile a lot and also learn a lot about many of those who do post here.

The first question has been answered a lot today.
Evolution does not say that a species evolves into another entirely, new species can branch off from other ones. Also we evolved more from apes or primates than monkeys. If we were intelligently designed, why do we have appendix's or wisdom teeth that dont fit in our mouths?
If we are wrong about what? Evolution, lack of God, people not being born with original sin?
If we are wrong we will be open to whatever is right as long as it is proven logical and correct.

Because we are trying to do a little mind opening, and our opinion is just as valid as yours. Polar bears evolved from grizzly bears, and there are still grizzly bears. The same holds true for humans. Hominids (chimps, orangutangs, gorillas, and humans) share common ancestors, while other monkeys are descended from a different branch of the evolutionary tree. Humans and chimps share 98% of the same dna. Lastly...I'm not wrong. The proof is in the pudding, and since no one can seem to find the holy grail ( though they claim to have found the tomb of jesus....roflmfao) I'm gonna go with science, thanks.

That's a good question. Since atheists don't believe in any thing, why don't they go set on a stump somewhere, or at lest keep their nose out of the Q&A of this catagory since they have nothing but negitave answers. -- that boy done gave me a thumbs down.
