I'd chose English only because I speak it. But I love Spanish and French and German too.

I'd prefer English because that's the language that I speak; however, Spanish is alot easier to learn than most languages, so it would probably have to be Spanish.

If I could make ONLY ONE language universal, I wouldn't... period!
Now if I could make A language universal, it would be Esperanto. But it wouldn't be the only language spoken. Each of the local languages and dialects would still thrive, yet each of the international masses would communicate freely with Esperanto should they choose to.
The UN and the EU would operate with it as their sole working language, thus saving $600 million USD yearly.... EACH! Not an interpreter insight, as each member of the UN and EU would have learnt it themselves with as little as a years instruction. What more could you ask for.

I wouldn't because I think that having a lot of different languages makes people and cultures individual, which makes our world such a cool place. BUT, if i had to pick i would probably pick czech because I really love czech, even though i speak english and spanish much better. haha. what would YOU pick?

english cuz its easy. who cares about all those other languages. to quote calvin (from the comic book calvin and hobbes) "everyone should jsut speak english or shut up."

id do french just cuz you could totally curse some one out and since french is so beautiful they'd never know it
