I met this guy online and we had our first date. I gave him a hug and he hugged and kissed me on the cheek when we first met in person. After the date, I hugged him and he kissed the top of my head. BTW, he is much taller than me and he's Irish. Are Irish people very physically affectionate? Hug and kiss is just normal greeting protocol for the French and Italian. Is it the same for the Irish or does he like me?

He must at least find you attractive or he wouldn't have shown you any physical affection. Sounds like you've got a good opportunity for a second date. Btw, sounds like a nice guy if he didn't try to take it any farther than that on the first date. Hopefully he'll stay respectful.

What the hell does culture have to do with this?! Only Irish people can hug and kiss? Give me a break! The guy likes you, it has nothing to do with where he is from.
