I can't say that I have ever heard this particular term. THe way you describe it is a little ways from "you reap what you sow"
I do believe in you reap what oyu sow but not in the sense that you keep a tally of your 'good deeds' and expect God to pay you back for that. That is not exactly a Biblical concept.
I have not listened to Joyce Meyer in a while for other reasons, but this kind of teaching is a bit scary. There are a few out there that I go out of my way to avoid.
I want to be careful of how I speak of God's annointed. I believe that these people have been called and annointed but fear of man, the lure of popularity and wealth have caused some to abuse their annointing- Joyce Meyer and a few others have come a long way from the more Biblical teachings of their earlier days.

This is known as the prosperity gospel if do do this you will get this if you give this you will get that. If you are expecting to get back every time you give that is not true giving.
I felt a little ill toward her when she came to help Hurricane Katrina victims with a made up face hair perfectly in place and a brand new outfit like she was going out somewhere special when many had nothing at all. My husbands family suffered through that hurricane.
Jesus said the poor you will always have with you. Not everyone was meant to be overly rich the Bible talks about being content with what you have.
Oh by the way God does not owe any of us a thing. The Bible says food and clothing with these be content anything else one gets over that is a gift James 1:17. God gave His son Jesus to die for us so that we would be saved and have the abundant life and everlasting life.
What Ms Meyer does not realize is the people that are the most happiest are not the ones who get the most in life but make the most in life.
Whatever you do for the least of these you do unto me Matthew 25:40 and Jesus spoke these words.

She has some good points. Her point in the receipt is to illustrate to those who have the inability to conceptualize that when you do good, you get good.
My favorite speech she ever gave was about how phoney, money-grubbing people are at work during the work week and then act all holy on Sunday. She demands you be the same person the entire week that you pretend to be on Sunday.

She must be a bad teacher, because I didn't understand a word that you said, and I can usually understand what the message is. She use to be clear cut in her teaching but now I agree that she has lost it and is not such a good teacher anymore. God doesn't owe anybody anything anymore.

I disagree. Mrs Meyer does not teach that at all. You are incorrect in your assumptions about Joyce Meyer. I have read many of her books, as well as watched her show on numerous occasions, and she is one good teacher, and steward of God. I prefer Max Lucado, but Mrs Meyer is a good teacher, too.

I would say bad metaphor rather then bad teaching.
God does say in Malachi 3:
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

I believe the Bible teaches that our rewards are laid up in Heaven. That's not to say that someone can't be wealthy and also be a Christian, but I don't believe people are "rewarded" on earth for good works, and God definitely doesn't owe us anything. Quite the contrary.

Vote with your money. Don't give her any if you don't like her teaching. Also the remote control to your TV has two features that can help you with Joyce Meyer: the power and channel buttons.

I used to observe Joyce Meyers, examine her books, etc.; yet, as quickly as I heard she paid $24,000 for a golden lavatory......... that became me thoroughly off from her. Benny Hinn, in no way cared for that guy ... you do no longer toss the Holy Spirit around like this guy says he's doing. he's a pretend! All he's apprehensive approximately is how plenty money they further in from certainly one of his pretend appearances. Joel Osteen, be attentive to him in my opinion; yet, he's no longer a preacher. he's an over paid speaker. he's extra on 'constructive thinking' and costs a scripture (portion of one) right here and there. do no longer watch him plenty in any respect. TD Jakes, he's plenty like Joyce. To think of a few think of he often is the subsequent Billy Graham is previous me. Clifto greenback ... money hungry. Paula White is a pretend to boot; you do no longer go around conversing in tongues in public squares without an interpreter. She interprets it herself. it is not the way it works. Misuse of the be conscious 'blessing' isn't good. we are all blessed via God in lots of diverse procedures. you do no longer go around bragging approximately it however.
