I have a Rottweiler and wanted to know where they stand on tracking and qualities... thank u

Although a Rotweiller has a much better sense of smell than any human, they are not very high on the tracking scale. Rots are working dogs, and as such their primary roles have included pulling carts and guarding.

Tracking dogs are in the hound and sporting groups - generally those with long ears are considered better trackers because their ears help direct the scent up to their noses.

My guess is that those breeds of dogs that are
bred specifically for scent are the best at it.
Bloodhounds are notorious for their keen ability to
track scent. Scent hounds are among hunting breeds.

All dogs have a much better sense of smell than humans do.
Although Rotties are not in the scent hound category, I'm
sure he would do well with some training.
