Is there something I can do so this doesn't happen? It only started happening like a month ago.

Is it like a cramp in your neck? Sometimes when I yawn, if I don't raise my chin up right away, my neck gets a cramp in it. I told a nurse about it when I was in the hospital last month and she laughed and said it was normal. I always thought there was something wrong because of it, but she said not to worry about it. So if that's what happens when you yawn, you shouldn't worry either. LOL

From what I know, muscle cramps are caused mostly when you are dehydrated...drink more water/eat less salt
