What is a good free photo editing software for mac?

I just need to resize the image. The dpi on the camera is 300. I want to be able to convert to 72 dpi and resize for my cpu. Any good software out their thats free?

GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/ and Pixel: http://www.kanzelsberger.com/pixel/ are two popular ones.

iPhoto comes with the OS. Gimp is also good,..for a little money Adobe Elements is better...Graphic Converter is shareware
