my problem is that I have been yo yo dieting with the atkins for the last 8 years- lose it- gain it back- what is the typical amount of weight that you lose per week on WW? Do you suggest the flex or core plan for someone desperate to lose weight and see results??? (quicker the better!!)

women having slower metabolism than men will lose less per week than a man..for women its 2-3 is a good average amount to lose a week

I have been on WW for the past month and a half and have lost 12lbs. I've just started exercising as well and am seeing a 1-2lb drop per week. You lose the most in the first week, I think. WW is a lifestyle change. Flex is nice because you can have whatever you want in moderation. So if it's hard for you to do without a treat every now and then, Flex is for you. However, I have heard from many individuals that Core produces slightly faster results. But again, Core is based around a list of foods you can eat. Kind of like low carb no processed foods. You do have the option of having 35 flex points to spend on non-core foods.

I yo-yo'd on South Beach all last year. Up 8 , down 8. With WW, I feel like I have things in control. It's not super fast weight loss, but it's real fat loss, not water. So even if you splurge, you won't get the yo-yo effect.

You might want to take a look at the ww site and get some info on which program might be best for you.

For a fast diet, you might want to try fat flush. But in my opinion, fast diets just lead to fast regain and it makes it harder to lose weight in the future.

Yep the Atkins thing is a problem, I don't know any trainer that are for this one, you'd be much better off with weight watchers! This is a great organization and you'll do well with them.
Everyone's body is different, so it's difficult to say how much you'll lose the first week. As soon as you get with the program-cutting out sugars, grease like the Atkins and eat normal healthy food you'll lose and you'll feel better too. I'd like to suggest that you get some exercise along with the program, walking daily for 30 minutes to start if you don't have a gym nearby. Walking is the best and it will speed your weight loss.
Check out both programs and decide for yourself which one of them fits you, only you know this. Make a decision and go for it!

u must persevere with confidence on ur weight by doing lots of exercises n eat less.i can lose my weight about 10 lbs per week if i jog everyday.take care.

u can lose 20 lbs in 4 weeks.. 5 each week
