That's exactly what lips do, my dear. As U age & sexual activity or tampons R placed in the vaginal area the little "lips" or labia which is Latin for lips will increase in size & protrude. Don't worry they won't effect any activity U might get involved in. It happens to all of us girls as time goes on. If it bothers U too much talk to your GYN & if he feels the labia is too large he'll suggest a little plastic work. AS LONG AS IT DON"T HURT DON"T START FIXING IT. Good Luck

It's not unusual for the labia minora (inner lips) to hang out. In Victorian England it was called the Hottentot Apron, after an African woman they "discovered" and brought back to England as a scientific specimen. She had very pronounced female curves-- wide hips, large buttocks, full breasts-- as well as labia minora that drapes down about four inches past her labia majora.
So yeah, you're normal-- despite what those silly Victorians thought. :)

The tissue you are referring to is called the "labia", a fancy medical term that means "lips". Everybody has different shaped labia, just as everyone can have a different shaped nose. As long as your labia are not sore and you have no unusual drainage you are fine. Try not to worry about it. If you begin to have pain or they change in a week or two, ask your family doctor or go to a sexual health clinic. Do not compare with others, especially with pictures in magazines. Believe me, everybodys body is unique and I am sure you are a healthy normal girl.

Anyway, sweetie 'those "lips" are called libia minor. The outside of them where your hair grows are libia major. The whole thing is called a vulva, not vigina. Your vigina is the birth canal Where you bleed from on your period, and where the penis enters.
Your libia minor is fine and normal, eveyones are different, but if you're really concerned see your doctor for reassurance.

Are you by any chance a little on the slim side? Sometimes this is more common in thinner girls. Quite normal. It's no cause for alarm.

Every person is different..so very difficult to say wether this is normal.
Think you're best off seeing you're GP if you think it's something to be worried about.
For example if something has made it be this way.

If I were you, I'd invesigate the possibility of surgery. A lot of woman do and by the way, a lot of men have surgery on their parts for different reasons. First though, seek professional help!
