it was optional to have colors personalized for the backlighting of the panel. of course, my car doesnt have it. can i still have this option if installed by the dealer? if so, how much do you think it will cost? thanks so much.

It requires changing the whole instrument cluster and installing a switch on the side for it...

If the connector is on the right side in the back of the plastic above the radio, you are looking at about $600 for the cluster, about $50 for the switch and about $150 for the mechanic.... Not worth the cost...

It's not a accesory from Ford, but enterprizing Ford dealer Techs can change them pretty easy...

MyColor (the option you are asking about) came on Premium package Mustangs. Even the GT with the Deluxe package didn't have MyColor. I think you should be able to order everything you need to put MyColor in a Deluxe car, however, it will almost CERTAINLY be cheaper to trade your 06 in on an 07 with the Premium package.

You can. But the price may vary from dealership to dealership. They have some discretion on how much they charge for parts/service. You might want to call a few places before you get it done.

sell it immeadiately. american cars suck and are horrible. buy something that is at least german. dont buy any rice burners either lol. but for real, get something made in germany.
