as I understand it once you have Hep you have it for life.

Once you get hepatitis A it sticks with you for life. This is what viruses do; once you get them, they remain with you for life; when you're stressed or your immune system gets weakened you get flaring or aggravation of Hep. A and get ill.

Yes, definitely. I had it when I was young, and my doctor told me that I had to watch out for it for the rest of my life.
Now whenever I get tired and run down, I immediately check to see if my eyes are turning yellow!

no its doesn't go away, so you can,t just get it again like that.
