I listen to guided meditation tapes. You should spend 10-15 minutes before going to bed trying to clear your thoughts.

Try developing a relaxing routine for going to bed. You might find it helpful to watch TV or read a book or do something else that you enjoy and find relaxing for an hour or so before you go to sleep. This will help to conclude your day and let your body and mind know that it is time to relax and sleep.

that sucks and believe me I feel your pain. I tend to wake up in the middle of the night in a panic about work! Try thinking about happy positive things when you go to sleep. Like being on a beach, on a cruise, something that makes you happy. I tend to daydream about being pretty or famous or something. I know it sounds stupid but it does help. My doctor is the original one who told me to try it. Try and hot bath or shower before bed too to relax.

From what you describe, I have a pretty good idea that what you are suffering from is Schizophrenia and possibly Bipolar II.
You need to see a psychiatrist immediatly. Ask him to put you on Respiridone and Lithium.
Once you are properly diagnosed you need to inform the motor vehicle branch and let them know that you are potentialy a dangerous driver because of a mental illness.

Trust me... I have been doing this for 25 years. I know schizophrenia when I see schizophrenia and I am sorry to say.... you have it!
