I'm gonna get a perm and I was wondering how many days will it take for all of the smell to go away? I would wash my hair about 4 times a day, to try to get it away quickly.

So, if I shampoo and contition my hair four times a day, how long will it take for the smell to go away?

When you get a perm the last thing you want to do is wash it a bunch. You should refrain from washing it at all for at least 24 hours. After that, washing it more than once a day at the most will only damage it further. It will dry it out. I would try and find a neutralizer. A good salon should have one. The smell will only last about 48-72 hours at most anyway. Maybe a great smelling hair gel would help too.

If you ever watched legally blonde, you would have known that it is not a god idea to wash your hair that much after a perm.

I dont think that it is a good idea to wash and condition your hair 4 times a day. You hair does need the natural oils....

The smells arent that bad anymore... Just spray some perfume or body spray... It goes away in a bit...

Shampoo your hair with a mild shampoo and dry it slightly. Pour on PLAIN tomato juice and leave on for 30 minutes. Re shampoo and let air dry. That should take care of the smell.
