I was once using some dynamite to "blow" a few fish from the reservoir, when the game warden showed up,and immediately started tellin me how against the law it was to use explosives to fish with, so I lit another stick, handed it to the warden, and calmly asked..".Are you going to talk,or are you gonna fish,too.".....

Once upon a time, I went with my family to drop off my sister at a summer camp. The camp had a lake and I decided to go fishing while she got registered. I was around 11 or 12 at the time, but I knew the camp well and so I dragged a paddle boat from the beach and into the water and went out to my favorite spot near some lilly pads. The water was shallow and good for fishing for bass. I pulled out my gold colored storm hot and tot and started casting. After a few casts I noticed that my side of the foot pedal well had some water in it. I didn't want my shoes getting wet so I placed them beside me on my tackle box with my socks stuffed inside. I continued to fish. Time went by and I noticed that more water seemed to be creeping into the pedal well. For some reason it didn't cross my mind that this might continue, but it did. Water continued to slowly fill this pedal well until my small craft began to list and nose down a little bit to the left. While all of this was happening I was a little distracted, because in spite of my situation, I had managed to hook a 14 inch bass. By the time I had brought it in, I was almost standing up since my boat was becoming vertical in the water. Some staff were on the beach, and yet I was a little too shy to really call for help, after all, I was not in mortal danger, just in danger of getting embarrassed. Finally, I was essentially standing. My closed tackle box with shoes on top, had crashed into the water and was now floating around more stabily than the one I was on. The staff had seen my plight inspite of the fact that I had not asked for help. In a few moments they were beside me. They helped me gather my shoes which were attempting to float away, and then pulled me to shore with their ski-boat. On the way in, they asked me, "Why did you take that boat out?" We dragged it way far out on the beach so no one would use it since the plug was missing in that well."
But inspite of the trouble, I still had a good time and a good story about catching a bass on a sinking ship.

Went night fishing once. When we were about to start, our gas lantern caught fire. Luckyly I had the brains to grab the lantern and dip it in the water to put out the fire. Unfortunately, we only had one lantern. So we had to fish in the dark. A few hours later, 1meter swells started to appear and made everybody seasick. We all ended up sleeping in the boat and getting wet from the swells. Went home the next morning still dizzy, hungry and fishless.
