Each period lasted for less than 100 years. When the Apostles all died, and the New Testament was complete. signs and wonders were no longer needed.
Tongues are clearly defined in Acts chapter 2, languages that other people clearly understood.
"5Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. 7Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? 8Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? 9Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11(both Jews and converts to Judaism Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!"

It seems that some don't care what the BIBLE has to say about it, they ignore the Word of God and talk about their experience!!!!!

Sad isn't it, you would think that Christians would know enough to understand that the Bible is first!!!!

There are a lot of church history writings and miracles did go on a lot until Constantine's time (eg St Anthony).

The record over the period after than was very intermittent. Eg in the UK we had people like St Cuthbert who did quite a lot if you believe the accounts.

In the last century, what do you make of people like John G Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, Kathryn Kuhlmann? They did many miracles, including some gold standard ones, ie the breathtaking ones that Jesus did such as causing people who had never seen to see. Or in the Catholic church the Kilpatricks.

Depends on your definition of miracles, when a small seed grows into a flower, a flaming ball of gases, placed just the right distance so it just warms this planet, rises in the east and sets in the west each day, when I see trees once bare bloom into flower I see His miracles everyday, the list is endless.
Everyone wants the BIG miracle which when it happens will be denied as mass hysteria. Just watch for the continuous miracle of life...miracles come to those that believe.

But I really think there is more miracles in the Bible.. your not reading it right.(Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, His Transfiguration and Resurrection).. in the old testament...Noah and the ark.. Jonah and the whale.. Daniel in the lions den...Abraham and Sarah in their old age have a son...many many more.

I'm with you on most things young one, but they still go on. Jesus himself said that we will do greater things than these with the help of the Holy Spirit. If this is not true then the Bible is a lie.

Just read John 14:12

12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

No, can't say that I was. Since I've seen miracles with my own eyes, I have to conclude your statement is not correct.
