The first questions is, does anyone know what size my stock catalytic converter is? It's a Laredo model. I need to get it replaced, not sure which one to buy. The other question, my engine started making a ticking noise recently. Any idea what that could be?

The ticking seems to happen more when it's cold out. It only does it when it starts up and then like 10 minutes. Once I drive around for awhile it seems to go away for the most part.

Ask your local muffler shop about the catalytic converter.

As for the ticking noise, its the valve lifters. They will be noisy when the vehicle is cold due to lack of oil reaching them, but once the oil starts flowing more the ticking will stop.

1. dunno
2. could be anything, depends when the tick is happening. There are a lot of moving parts in an engine so isolate where in the motor the ticking is coming from and then i could tell you what it most likely is.
