My boyfriend's birthday is next week, and I want to bake him a cake either, shaped like a skateboard- or that has skateboard decorations on them. But I don't know where to look for directions on how to go about it. Anyone know of any websites where i can find that info? Or does anyone have any ideas on how I could make the cake?

Bake the cake in a rectangular pan and try to shape if you can into the skateboard shape. Or perhaps you could make a cake into a half pipe and have like a little toy skateboards and a dude like Bird Man. Also you may want to check out Wilton.com they may have stuff there for you. Good Luck!

Like everyone else has said, check wilton.com. Or, go to your local cake decorating store, bakery, or even a craft store like Ben Franklin's or Michaels. They usually sell cake pans, decorations, and books that tell you how to do everything. Or just start searching the internet for free cake decorating directions. Either way, as long as you put a lot of thought into the cake (which sounds like you are), I'm sure he'll love it. It's the thought that counts!

Borrow a cake decoration book from the library, they have step by step pictures and instructions and tips. Remember practice makes perfect so try a few patterns out on a plain cake before the birthday and good luck to you as well.
