We were on the phone and all of a sudden he goes "How long do you want this relationship to last?" And I was so shocked because he doesn't really talk about our realtionship so I asked why he was asking and he said he was just wondering. I asked him the same question as he asked me and he said "A while at least".
Do you he's scared I will break up with him or do you think he wanted to break up with me? I am really confused.
Please help.. and thank you in advance.

Basically he was just wondering wat u were thinking about where the relationship was gong. Everyone who is in a relationship goes through tat awkward part where u have to sit down and talk about it. He was just wondering and maybe he did think u mite want to break up and couldnt just ask you so he used another way *Less Stress*. Dont worry its normal

Okay I don't know how his tone was on the phone but if it sounded shaky and hesitant then he might be scared that you were going to dump him, but maybe he really likes you and wants to get your input on how long you want a boyfriend, believe it or not i have a couple of friends that only like to hook up with a guy for a month or so and then move on, where me, i like long relationships, i have been with my girlfriend for 7 years, so it just depends on how you percieve his question but you should maybe talk it over with him over dinner or something and find out exactly whats on his mind. I don't know why but I always ask questions like that. Like maybe the relationship is to good to be true. So if it does end I am not to upset I expected it. Hope that helped.

he is probably asking to get a sense of how he should act around you. We guys tend to feel a lot safer when we think we know where a relationship is going. But that could just be me. Hope it works out for you.

i think u shouldve said a long time. a guy wants to know whether he should keep on going after a girl or just quit. guys like straight answers...not i dont know answers. STRAIGHT. i think thats stupid tho cuz then they would never know if that girl they gave up on would ever like them.
idk i think that he is just curious and maybe wants it to stay intact longer. he wants to be with u he just wanted to know if u felt the same way. hope i helped :)

Well i think that question may have has just ruined your relationship. what he said will always be in the back of your mind when your with him and you'll always have doubt and confusion from now on.
I don't know why he said it but if i were you and it happened to me it would make being with him feel wierd.

We as women always look for a deeper meaning to a question. Sometimes it's just a question, plain and simple.
If you have to know what he meant by it, just ask him and see what he says. Just dont be or get defensive.

i think he was hurt in his last relationship and he doesnt want 2 but so much of him into this relationship 2 get his heart broke again

He wants to know your expectations so he can either move along or get involved. Some people don't give their whole heart until they know they can trust someone with it.
