Cannot install Vista Ultimate upgrade due to error message code - 0x80004005 which states that there is not enough space for temporary files, the installation needs atleast 392mb of space on any partition.
This is despite the fact that there is gigabits of spare space available on all my partitions.

error message code - 0x80004005 .....
...... means perhaps you are attempting to install Vista with a "Blocked VLK".
A Volume License Key that is valid, but was licensed solely to a corporation or larger enterprise/business.
Blocked VLK's are Product Keys that Microsoft has received consent from the original owner to block usage of.
A VL Product Key is non-transferable to individuals.
If this is not the case all you have to do is call Microsoft & they will help you.

Figures, vista sucks. Its full of bugs and security loopholes. You could contact microsoft and wait 4-6 weeks for a response. Maybe even a refund. Well, no. Not from microsoft.
EDIT- that was an exageration. It should only take 24 hours for a response.

vista doesnt suck at all. ok it mite have a lot of bugs still but thats normal. and its got an error because you didnt get the upgrades for your computer that you should have. it clearly said that you need to get your computer upgraded so its your fault not microsoft.
